CrossFit Kids is not simply a scaled down version of CrossFit, it is entirely absolutely CrossFit geared and designed for a special population and the specific developmental needs of that population. (neurological, cognitive, motor)

CrossFit Kids is a strength and conditioning program that is specifically designed for kids and teenagers and helps them develop a lifelong love of fitness. In a group setting, children and teens participate in fun and engaging workouts that deliver measurable results and prepare them to be well-rounded athletes. With a network of over 2000 CrossFit Kids Trainers, CrossFit Kids is being implemented in over 1,100 schools form preschools to high schools with before-and-after school programs and integration into Physical Education curriculum. CrossFitKids.com contains thousands of archived workouts, video demonstrations and informative articles that provide interested parents or teachers with a foundation for understanding how the CrossFit Kids program is to be implemented.

CrossFit Kids workouts consist of constantly varied, functional movements that deliver a fitness that is broad, inclusive and general and scaleable for any participant at any level.

This means that, for the most part, no two workouts are the same, so kids and teens never get bored and the novelty of each workout keeps them excited about participating.

The functional movements involve exercises that are fundamental to all things that kids need to do when they play-pull, push, run, throw, climb, lift and jump. All of the movements are taught safely and effectively under the close supervision of thoroughly trained CrossFit Kids Trainers.

When fitness is defined as broad, inclusive and general it means that participants will become well-rounded athletes who will be better at any and every sport that they play because CrossFit Kids doesn’t coach them to be good at just one thing.

OLYMPIC LIFTING

Butte Barbell ClubThe Olympic lifts consist of the clean & jerk and the snatch. These two lifts are the most technical lifts that CrossFitters must perform. It is our belief that improved capacity in the Olympic lifts will improve performance in nearly every other physical endeavor one may encounter in life. They have a unique ability to train an athlete to generate and apply large amounts of force while simultaneously building strength, speed, power, coordination, balance, and flexibility. These are valuable traits for any athlete. We offer detailed instruction by multiple USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance coaches.

POWERLIFTING

In the sport of powerlifting the goal is simple: lift as much weight as possible. Powerlifting consists of three core lifts: the squat, the bench press, and the deadlift. The squat and the deadlift are key two foundational movements in CrossFit. Along with the bench press, building a strong foundation in these lifts, will improve one’s overall physical strength, mental strength, and ability to master other key movements for CrossFit, Olympic lifting, and general physical preparedness.

Butte Barbell Club offers a structured powerlifting program – Power Hour+ – to help athletes improve their strength and maximize their potential in the squat, bench press, and deadlift. The Power Hour + programming includes the core lifts, speed work and dynamic effort, accessory strength, and conditioning intervals.

All of our powerlifting coaches are USA Powerlifting (USAPL) club coach certified.

CROSSFIT LIGHT

Copper City CrossFit is happy to announce that we are expanding our CrossFit Light program! We will be tripling our class offerings from 3 classes per week to 9 classes per week!

CrossFit Light members can still expect CrossFit style custom programming with NO COMPLEX BARBELL MOVEMENTS! In other words, we will use a mix of kettlebells, dumbbells, medicine balls and bodyweight movements but will exclude the Olympic lifts.

If you decide that group classes are not for you or you would like to have some more focused time to work on your own personal weaknesses, we do offer one-on-one personal training. We have several tiered packages that are competitively priced and you can choose from any of the coaches from our wonderful, educated staff so that these sessions are comfortable and productive.

OPEN GYM

Sometimes you just need some time for YOU! Open gym can be that time… Did you want to work on your kipping pull-ups or your handstand push-ups? Did you miss a workout earlier in the week that you want to make up? Do you have some “on-ramp” requirements to complete? This two hour period is a great opportunity for you to do… well… whatever it is that you want to do. And this time period is staffed so you will still have the assistance and guidance of a coach.

$79 introductory session which will include:

$199 four week program includes:

  • Initial Consultation ( ~ 75 Minutes )

ATHLETIC TRAINING

St. James Healthcare and Montana Sports Medicine has teamed up with Copper City CrossFit to provide Athletic Training services to the members onsite. Services include evaluation and treatment of sports injuries. The education and treatment provided by the high-quality healthcare providers will help to ensure safe and effective return to CrossFit, sports and life.

Appointments include initial evaluation with referral to a physician if needed, and treatment to decrease pain and increase pain free motion. Follow up appointments continue treatments to progress activity. Appointments can also consist of rehabilitation after surgery or injury and provide modifications to coaches to allow for gradual integration back into CrossFit. Athletic Trainers are healthcare providers with specialized training in sports medicine.

Appointments (30 min initial meeting with 30 min of follow up treatments): $30 per hour will be charged to your CCCF account.
